Not sure why but they wont show up on the homepage, my templates are fine as I backed up my database and then deleted all my folders and uploaded the new stuff and told it to upgrade
the categories show up in the admin and i can add and delete them, not sure why they wont appear on the homepage though
everything went smooth except a few posts were cut off, not sure why though, maybe there was an illegal character in the post
