My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I'm having problems with email notifications. For some reason recently my notifications have stopped. Both email notifications to subscribers and also email notifications to myself as admin when someone comments. Yet I know that when I post, it states that it is notifying subscribers, but it doesn't happen. If anyone has a starting point I would really appreciate it.
I'm using 1.9.2.

1) your host disabled posts from phpscripts, particulary the mail() function.
2) your spamfilter blocks your very own url or a part of it (like your url is holidayinfrance.com and it blocks every entry with holiday)

I have contacted my Host and it appears they have now disabled php scripts on the mail() funtion. Is there any way I can configure the b2 files to use smtp or is there another way around this?
Any help would be great.

No, not without hacking/extending b2evo.

You should bug/ask your host - they want you to not send mails, and working around this could get considered "bad behaviour" anyway.
