My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi -

On a server where I am running 1.9.2, we upgraded to Mysql5, which broke PHP, so I reinstalled PHP. But b2evolution still does not function, though a simple php test page (<?php phpinfo(); ?>) does work. Accessing b2evolution through a browser causes the browser to ask me if I want to download a file.

Any clues;

Do you have a link to your (broken) site, so we can have a look?
Did the database upgrade perhaps corrupt the blog entries? Have you made a database backup before you upgraded and can you try to put this backup back on the new database install?

Thanks for asking:

If I go there with Mozilla, I get

Additional information about this error:

MySQL error!

Error establishing a database connection!

(Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client)

1. Are you sure you have typed the correct user/password?
2. Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
3. Are you sure that the database server is running?

I can get in to the database using the username, database name and password that b2evolution is configured for, but I can't get in through this URL. If you know which MySQL client they are referring to, that would help.
