My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I use b2evolution BLOG and I have an additional question.
I look for a possibility of changing or adding the current date for this program. I mean if I change an existing BLOG (no comment) do I do with a smiley or with other possibilities e.g. Bold-faced writing?
Should I simply insert / register the current date & time which remains unchanged by the next entry?
Do you have any hints?
