I want to have a blog page with 5 different topics but almost all of the blogs that I have seen (but not all) only have space for one topic then the usual place for responses, archives, etc.
You can set the number of posts per page in backoffice -> App settings -> General -> Post/Days per page.
If you click on a posts title or the comment link, you get into the one-post-per-page (single post display) mode with the commentbox in it. This is a different mode from the normal page in the blog, that is intended to aggregate several posts on one page.
