My b2evolution Version: 1.9.x

For the last couple of months I have been struggling with maintaining "good" performance on my blog site as usage has grown. I had been looking into static generation (to restrictive for my dynamic site) and had recently considered stripping down my skins as much as possible - just so I could stay under the 6 sec mark (on average).

I was at the breaking point today and considered buying a new server when a search on PHP acceleration technology led me to eAccelerator (http://eaccelerator.net). I did a build/install and my site - with absolutely ZERO changes - dropped from an average 6-7 second render time to 2-3 seconds.

Has anyone else used eAccelerator w/b2evo? If so, has anyone ran into any issues?

So far, all is well and I'm lovin' it!
