I have absolutely no idea if [url=http://b2evo.astonishme.co.uk/index.php/2006/08/22/bypassing-comment-moderation-for-users]this plugin[/url] works in the 2.x series as I don't use comment moderation, but it shouldn't be to hard to upgrade it if it doesn't ;)

I'll wait until some others test it but I just reinstalled it into RC1, posted 3 different comments, they were accepted though I still got notification by email

The notification bit can't be controlled from a plugin ( as far as I know )
Good to know the plugin works though, it can be added to the "works in 2.x" list :D

Thanks for replying. I will install and test the plugin on 2.3.x
If I remember, the plugin allows author comments, registered users to bypass comment moderation, but it's not allow a group of users.

You're mostly correct, it's oriented around allowing the members of blogs to comment without moderation, so you *should* be able to add your group as members without allowing them posting rights which would give you the result you want.

I believe even the admin needs to approve his own comments first before they get published. It is on somebody's TODO list already.
