Host switching from FQDN to localhost

My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi guys, new user but loving it so far...

I've setup a b2evolution blog and it was going fine on the local server, so i tried accessing the page from another PC but using the FQDN ( I use a dynamic DNS service, so the traffice leaves my network and re-enters for testing) and the page is displayed but in a cut down version (ie. text only, no styles, pictures or background) and if I try to click on any link the address changes form the FQDN to localhost

i.e I access the page with http://server.domain.com, which returns a text only cut down page. (the address bar still displays http://server.domain.com)

If I click any of the links, the browser appears to look at http://localhost/.... which of course fails.

I know that I have set a hostname wrong somewhere but i cant for the life of me find where....

Welcome to the forums.

Set your hostname in /conf/_basic_config.php. I wonder if your setup will be able to generate (and) hold cookies. That's important for logging in, not for viewing.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious for me Afwas, I had changed that previously and it broke the page (turned out I had a spelling mistake in it though), after changing it to my full site name it is functioning perfectly!
