after clicking on any user group you will be able to set which admin are they should be able to reach etc etc..cheers

I tried that--I checked the upload/read/write boxes under "Media Directory" but I can't seem get folks to be able to upload files to the server--they can get at the files I have uploaded but can't upload their own.

I hope this makes sense... :)

Check admin > blogs > [blog] > groups > "wide settings" ( or whatever the hell it's called nowadays )

If you don't have "groups" tab, then hit admin > blogs > [blog] > features], scroll down and select "advanced properties and hit save
