[2.x] Permissions issue preventing use of some plugins

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I've suffering a problem when either trying to insert Google AdSense code into the FreeHTML plugin or doing the same in the Adsense plugin itself.

When I try to save the widget with code in I get a server error message which says "Forbidden. Cannot access /admin.php on this server. Additionally a 404 error was generated for this request."

I can do basic html in the FreeHTML widget, such as a simple link to a domain, but the GoogleAdsense scripts, Flickr widgets and the like generate the error above.

Can anyone give me an idea where the problem might lie?

I have a feeling this is to do with mod_security being enabled on your server.

There is a way to disable it via htaccess ( if it is the problem ), but buggered if I can remember how :p

Thanks. That's exactly it. I googled the mod security issue and worked out how to switch it off via htaccess.

It did the trick.
