My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi all, New to B2Evolution. I've been looking through the Docs and the forum over the last week, and have successfully loaded b2evo on my server. I am quite happy with the software, but I am frustrated by some issues i can't resolve due to ignorance on my part.

1. The

<!--noteaser--> tag seems to cut my post in half, and when i click on the title, it only shows the lower half of the post.

2. Is there a way, after writing a post to automatically fill in the "Link to url"?
I have part of an address in the "url filename(slug)". Ideally, I would like to be able to post, and have the title hyperlink display the complete post, and to also show the url for linkbacks and such.

3. What is the most efficient way to develop a post (using WLW/Word/OpenOffice, etc.) and be able to keep formating (hyperlinks, pics) AND to be able to utilize the

<!--noteaser--> tags, without having a formatting mess?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

If you dont want it to get cut, than do not use <!--noteaser-->

you can experience them in Demo page of b2

If only you could explain why would you need that ? Maybe you misunderstood the function of it: It displays any link that you define there, it's not post-related.

This is the title converted in a way that wouldnt cause any trouble in the URL's.

I believe you have handled this issue by finding out the 'trackback URL' function ? But it is only a feature for other blogs, not any website.

I suppose you want the permanent link of the post to be displayed ..

in your case.

Note: You can modify your single post URL's how you like them to be displayed

examples:

http://www.readwhatisee.us/index.php/subcat/post-title

The best way is to format it with b2 inside (: you can preview your post at anytime.. But if you are not familiar with the interface or insist on having a wysiwyg (or wysiwywpgbwng) what you see is what you will possibly get with no guarantee..

In that case, you need a software like Blogjet or WindowsLiveWriter (for b2, blogjet i would recommend, best of bad)

Hoping my suggestions are useful, if you need any further information do not hesitate asking, cheers, good luck

Thank you for your reply! Sorry for the delayed response, my ISP had a major outage over the last several days... I had very limited access to the internet.

My remaining issue is with the best way to post:

If I use B2EVO to write my post's, It becomes somewhat tedious in that I develop the majority of my content using word/openoffice.

Hyperlinks in B2 do not have the option in opening up a new web page.

If I could figure out How to incorporate the <!--More--> (what is the term for this? a A tag?) into WLW/Blogjet/Word/Openoffice, that wold be so great.

I tried using tinyMCE, but that disables the (formatting?) buttons...

Is <!--More--> HTML? How can i get this functionality to work in WLW or BlogJet?

Thanks for the help, tilqicom

i really didnt like the way tinymce does its job integrated with b2 writing mode.. As i have recommended you can use blogjet, i still dont know if it's the best but it look promising..

about the <!--more--> and the other formatting; just type "<!--more-->
" manually and b2 should render it automatically while you post..

There is no perfect wysiwyg editor currently for b2 each of them has its mere sides you ve gotta pick the best of the bad and deal manually in some areas.
