My b2evolution Version: 2.1.4
As my site uses a combination of b2evolution, other php pages and pdf files I run a search engine, other than the B2 one on the site which indexes everything. The search engine picks up the <title></title> tags as the page name but when indexing SQL database it does not pick up the Title of the page based on the B2 page titles which I think is the field post_urltitle for single.main.php files.

How do I manage post_urltitle (or the appropriate field) so that the search engine picks it up in the title tag.

This is probably not what you wanted to hear but - you should consider using the google custom search via the google webmaster tools. That will index everything for you.

Also - i just learned of a new tool called: http://www.lijit.com/

I haven't enabled it on my blog just yet but I have registered for it. It's supposed to index all of your content.

Unfortunatley Google has the same result; the page title is non descript and the intended title and that displayed on the Single page is not what is displayed in either Google nor my search engine.
