My b2evolution Version: 1.10.x
Hello. I just installed the blog and I was making a test blog. I wrote "Just testing the blog". Why is the post in the side and not the main page? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Edited to say that I'm not sure what version I have. I used my hosts Fantastico to install it.
Hi Christy. Welcome to the forums!
So you got version 2.4.2 which happens to be the latest and greatest. Hooray!
As to what happened... You actually have many blogs. Your link to "blog" on the top of the page points to http://icy-tears.com/blog6.php which would be the 6th blog although you might not have 6 active blogs because you can delete blogs if you want to. Therefore the "just testing the blog post must have gone into another blog. So let's find it...
Okay my bad. I can't find another blog on the system by just guessing. Oh snap! http://icy-tears.com/summary.php shows that you have only one blog there. That makes me think that when you posted your "just testing" post you probably selected "page" from the post type drop-down menu. A "page" is kinda different from a "post" in that it ... well ... it's different. It gets linked in the sidebar (or header or footer depending on which container you have the pages widget in) and would normally be used for something like "about me" type of thing.
Try editing that post, assuming I guessed correctly, and turn it into a "post" type instead of a page.
Funny thing is though that I can't get to that post because it isn't linked. So that makes me come back to the idea that your "just testing" post is actually in a different blog than blog 6. So, like, it is in another blog that happens to be identified as the linkblog for blog #6, which means it will show up in the sidebar of blog #6. Typically a linkblog post will have another website in the Link to URL field when you post so that you get a little blog roll (or list of links) without doing html editing.
Hope it helps!
