My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Every now and then i get trackbacks such as the following:

url: http://www.google.com/search?q=<random string>
name: <random name>
content:
<random name>
<random name>

The content and the name are the same string.

If it's spam link, it's only bring you to google and doesn't do anything. What's the purpose? A hack? Is is something preventable? Other than delete it manually.

I don't know for sure, but I think it is just stupid people having stupid fun. Or maybe it is homework from Spammer School so they can graduate and become certified stupid?

I know of no way to stop it though. Like, you probably don't want to ban the URL right? Other than turning off trackbacks, but I guess you want to have them enabled else you wouldn't be having the problem.

Sorry, but it sounds like deletion of each item is the way it's gotta be.

Hello.

I wonder if this problem would be somewhat alleviated with trackback approval (Draft status) therefore it would not be posted to the public until approved? :?:
