I've upgraded from 2.4.2 earlier today, and have noticed that all angle brackets get wiped from any entries made with Live Writer (current and beta versions), so I assume this is also effecting anything coming from xmlrpc but I've got nothing else to test with.
The only other thing to change on the server today was an upgrade to CPanel, but no updates to Apache or PHP took place.
For example:
<p>test</p>
Will get turned into:
ptest/p
I've dug through the obvious config files like formatting and they're all as they usually are.
Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks guys.

Not seeing this on the demo, so can probably be moved out of bugs. But still none closer in tracking down the problem.
Verified it happens with Word 2007 too. And made sure < > aren't getting stripped from posts in the web interface.
