Over 3 years of blogging, I never got any hits from technorati (maybe once or twice)

I don't know how others feel about this but - I wouldn't spend too much time on integrating with technorati. Most of our hits come from google searches.

That said, I would recommend getting an account at feedburner.com and using that to ping all the main aggregator (they hit all the major ones including technorati). Plus, you can centralize your "Subscriptions" through feedburner. Check them out.
