It would be nice to have a simple way to change how many comments are displayed when disp=comments is invoked and to leave the rest of the comments to be displayed on the following pages.

I know I can change _comments.disp.php and hardwire for instance 40 as the $limit parameter, thereby increasing the number of comments to 40. However, I haven't found any equivalent to mainlist_page_links for comments, so that I can see more than 40 comments in the same way I can see all my posts paginated (even though I have a limit of 10 posts to be shown in the front page), following the links at the bottom of the main page (with the paged=n parameter).
