My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Hi,

I upgraded my blog to version 2.4.2, since then all my category etc links on the right hand side of my blog are missing, they simply don't render. I've tried swapping skins, got a more updated version of the skin I was using, nothing seems to make a difference.

Also, I read something about a categories widget under the widget list? I clicked on widgets in my dashboard, the list is empty and there is no button to click "add widget" as I saw one forum post suggest. Am I simply missing something obvious?

I searched for posts on categories, but didn't find anything that helps.
