My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I have several blogs on one domain. One, the main one, has an absolute URL and on this one clicking on a tag or in the tag cloud gives a 404 error. The other blogs are ok. All the settings are identical. Is this something associated with the use of an absolute URL? Guidance appreciated.

Sorry. I hate to be awkward, especially on a board as helpful as this one but I learned, from bitter experience, never to give out URLs on webmaster boards. Again sorry Yabba.
I've just found that the permalinks are not working either. I think it may be something to do with the .htaccess file in case that gives you a clue. Strangely there were two files in the root of the domain. One which is packaged with b2evo and another which read:

php_value magic_quotes_gpc 0
php_value register_argc_argv 0
php_value register_globals 0

Options -Indexes

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^post_([A-Za-z0-9_-]+).html$ subpage.php?filename=$1

Where it came from, I have no idea.

So I deleted that one and renamed b2evos sample.htaccess but still no joy.

I'd appreciate it if you would continue giving me your valuable assistance in spite of my unhelpfulness.

I was just about to do that when I thought I'd try something else I did another search on errors in permalinks rather than the one I'd done previously on errors in tags. I got one about .htaccess which although not quite what I wanted gave me a clue. I simply changed from absolute URL to 'Default blog in index.php' and everything worked okay. And the page can still be accessed from http://www.blahdiblah.com/ Which is just what I needed originally. Whether it will be indexed the same is another matter but only time will tell. So thanks Yabba all solved, for the moment anyway.

OT: This is not a webmaster forum, and I have no idea why someone would develop a fear of sharing a URL, but if you don't want to share a URL DON'T MAKE UP FAKE ONES THAT TURN INTO LINKS!

http://this_will_be_clickable.duh

In other words if you don't want a real URL in your posts please don't put fake ones in either. THANKS!
