Install Issue

My b2evolution Version: 2.4.6

I'm pretty new at all this, so please forgive my ignorance. I followed the instructions correctly up to the install page, and then entered all my database info (correctly I hope) but it keeps returning to the base configuration page, returning an error of ..

Delimiter must not be alphanumeric or backslash in /home/biggirls/public_html/diary/inc/_core/_param.funcs.php on line 161

Line 161 of said file appears to be the following..

$GLOBALS[$var] = preg_replace( '�\r|\n�', '', $GLOBALS[$var]

ok..I can see the backslashes, but I have no idea what should be there, or whether this error can be fixed by refilling in the base configuration. I may not have configured it correctly in the first place.

Any help would be appreciated.

You might like to try grabbing a new copy of the zip file and re-uploading it, be amazed how many problems it cures ;)

Thanks for the tip. I did the first install via my mac. But I just redid it all again using windows and away we went.
