My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Hey Guys, help me before I pull my remaining hair.

I am trying to blog by email. Configured the Global Settings field. When I tried to test is using "Verbose" option below is what I get.

Login: myusername, Pass: mypassword

Wrong login or password.
OK.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: timer_stop() in /home/account/public_html/cron/getmail.php on line 371

I am certain that the username and password I use is for my blog and I am using the right user name and password. What else can be wrong. Is the error message on line 371 causing this issue?
