Is it possible to disable the wysiwyg editor?

I am getting many complaints of errors caused when inserting photos from the file manager. The error is something about <div> tags not being allowed inside <span> tags. It's easy to fix in the html source, but my users are not that kind of people. (plus its annoying when it keeps happening)

Should I post a bug for this?

The way it worked on 2.4 was perfect, once people understood that the line of code would display their image and they should keep it intact. How do I get back to that simpler editor?
