My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi all,

I'm a noob feeling my way through b2 and other stuff so please excuse my relatively low level.

I noticed in the stats Referred Hits some visits from certain domains. After checking in the View Source of my browser I came across several lines such as the following which contained those domain names (see below). I couldn't find anything related here, but a net search has brought up some info which I can't say I have been able to figure it out and what I can do if harm is being done. Can somebody enlighten me as to what is happening? I have comments closed off to everybody except registered members and have not added any anti-spam plugins except what comes with the core. Is there something I need to be doing? Anything else helpful would be appreciated.

On the server side (and how they got in there will have to be discovered) I could see that my htaccess file had been changed. Not sure yet what that change was, but the size had gone from say 5.00 to 5.02 kb. After removing that, the lines below disappeared from the view source.

<td class=""><a href="http://mysite.com/blog2.php">/blog2.php</a></td>
<td class="lastcol ">123.125.156.194</td>
</tr>

If I'm out of line posting this type of stuff here, let me know.

Thanks,

To anyone who ever encounters this:

Original post below the = signs. LOL. This one was easy I had to change the file to writeable. Changed it back to 400 afterward.

A little post note:

First thing I have tried to do is change passwords. When changing the pw stored in the b2 file used when set up (I really don't think I need to be advertising this file name), I get this:

[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]

so that I cannot change the pw.

Thanks again.
