My b2evolution Version: 3.3.3

Hi, I've been trying to find a post about this but couldn't find any, so I thought this was a problem with my server, however, it happens on the Demo here on b2evolution.net as well...

Everytime I want to upload a large image (and by large I mean size of the image, not size of the file) the image uploads allright, but I get no thumbnail (I get the broken image thing both in the "Files" section and if I post it).

Here large means anything 2600x... or above. I have to use an photo editing software to scale the image, upload it, get the right thumbnails and then if I want the large one on the server, replace it using FTP.

Do you know if this is a limitation of my host (I did pay $12 for a full year...), as this is also happening here, or is it simply a limitation of the b2evolution software?
