somehow or other my hitlog table has 390,000 rows in it... Shocked

it is taking me over my database size quota and slowing stuff down..

is it safe to delete say everything older than 3 months ago?

it is totally safe to purge it.. just empty it through phpMyAdmin.. dont know how you can only delete the ones 3 months or more older though... possibly can do via php, but there is no sql command i know of that can do date thing.
I have never understood why the fuck hitlog and sessions grow that huge (50 mb per 50k hits).. It's nice to have 'em but not when they are these big, i ve been complaining about it ever since but nobody seems to give a damn
