My b2evolution Version: Not Entered
What can I do about this? My wife has a blog and I'm administering settings to make sure it works well. The blog posts show the text like ":yes:" and ":crazy:" but doesn't replace them with the proper smiley images. When I comment on a post with smilies, the blog displays them correctly. Is there any way I can change this?
EDITED TO ADD: I just solved the problem myself and would like to say the solution for anyone who encounters this issue: Go to "Global Settings > Plugins > Click the 'edit plugin settings' icon on Smilies plugin > Apply Rendering: Always." This renders EVERYTHING in the blog.

You could also just check the smilies renderer box on individual posts.
That way, you won't have to proof-read every single post in your blog to ensure that something wasn't accidentally rendered that wasn't intended.
I'm a big fan of opt-in rendering. ;)
