At the head of my blog i use an image that already has the name of the blog and if I use the title box, this, cover the image. Well, the problem is when the site has no title for the browser and it sucks for proper indexing in Google.
Go ahead and fill in the 'Title' field for the blog on the 'General' tab of the Blog settings -- that will take care of the browser title.
Then disable (or delete) the Blog title widget on the 'Widgets' tab of the Blog settings -- this will keep the title from displaying and covering up your custom image.
