My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I have the latest b2evo installed under root and it works fine locally. I just set it up yesterday. For some reason it replaces my domain name with my server's local ip. This causes wan visitors to get a 404 since my server's local ip != wan ip. For example, where 'mysiteexample.com/blog5.php' should be there is '192.168.x.x/blog5.php'.

If I give someone a link to just a picture on my server they can get it just fine which leads me to believe that b2evo is the problem.

I think it's a config problem on my part but I honestly have no clue. If somebody could point me in the right direction it'd make my night and following day.

Update: After updating the _basic_config.php file everything is working just great. I had to add a line in my /etc/hosts on my dev computer as mentioned but that was no trouble compared to getting help from my isp.

You need to change the $baseurl variable in /conf/_basic_config.php to your external domain name ('http://mysiteexample.com/'). You'll also need to make sure the settings for the blog's url in the Back Office (Blog settings->URLs->Blogbase URL) matches.

This, of course, may disable your ability to access the b2evo installation properly from your internal network. You may have to jump through some 'Hosts' file hoops (or internal DNS) to get 'http://mysiteexample.com/' to resolve to your internal '192.168.x.x' address.

Excellent! Thank you very much.

Because of my router I've been accessing it via local ip so that won't be a problem.

Don't mention it. ;)
