[4.1.x] Unable to disable AJAX

My b2evolution Version: 4.1.x

In order to circumvent this error [url=http://forums.b2evolution.net/viewtopic.php?t=22936]this error[/url] I tried to disable AJAX forms. That was not possible. Although b2 returned "successfully saved settings" or something similar, the AJAX checkbox was still selected. This error can be reproduced.

What could be the cause?

You need to also disable page cache. You can't leave page cache enabled without using AJAX forms
