Try HTML5, youtube should be able to produce HTML5 embed code.

I tried using the iframe code, but that hasn't seemed to change anything.

I don't know, but it was the only other Youtube code available to test with. I'll look into this more tomorrow, it's not urgent. For reference: in the past have videos gone through RSS with different versions of b2evo, or does it work with a plugin?

It's the choice of a browser to display the video or not. b2evo does its job to include the code, as you can see in source.

The youtube code is there if you view source. You should better ask browser devs why they don't display video in feeds ;)
Check RSS specs, it looks like <object> tag is not allowed in feeds.
