Source file: /public_html/news/blog1.php
Destination file: /public_html/news/home.html

home.html is an empty file in /news
Permissions for User = RWE (7)

Clicking "Generate now!" does not modify home.html to create a static page of blog1.

Why not?

This feature is deprecated and will be removed from b2evolution v5

You can enable page cache on Blog settings > Advanced page
