[4.1.x] Changing Date Format

My b2evolution Version: 4.1.x

Currently my blog offers the US date format. How do I alter this to British date format. Been hunting and got lost -(((. Thanks in advance. Oh yes and if the change can be made, will it be automatically applied to published blogs?
