GKG.net just announced they will no longer support PHP4. Is this going to create problems for ANY b2 installation? Many of my clients are running older versions. Can anyone answer this?

Older b2evo versions up to v3.0 should work well on PHP 4.
Since v3 you may need to edit a couple of files, and v5 will not support PHP 4 at all.

I'm confused, you said older versions work on PHP4 and I'll need to edit files in newer versions, and v5 will NOT support PHP 5.

On March 20, 2012 cPanel announced that PHP4 is now EOL (End of Life).

I don't have anything older than 3.3.3, so what files need to be edited? And what about v5 - if that won't support PHP 5, and PHP 4 is being EOL'd, how does that work?

It was a typo of course, b2evo v5 will only work in PHP5.

I don't think you need to do anything in v3.3 at least not in PHP 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3. Although b2evo fully supports PHP 5.4 only since v4.1.5 (to be released this week).

Basically you're fine unless your host installs PHP 5.4, then you will have to upgrade b2evo to the latest version or edit files.
