Upgrade fails - no access to the blog!

HI!
I've did the upgrade (with a backup before) of b2e in our blog with the function inside the backoffice, it seems to run well but now I haven't any access to the site nor to the backoffice. Even the login isn't accessible any more.
Now the site displays:
503 Service Unavailable
System upgrade is in progress. Please reload this page in a few minutes.

How it is possible to get back inside, to get access to the backup or to any other solution?

I've tried changing the _maintenance.html file but it returns a memory size error. How do I sort that out? I've searched around the forums here but the answers were confusing.

memory size error, means you need more memory to run PHP and b2evolution and whatever you are trying to do.

What does it say exactly?

We recommend a minimum of 128M for the PHP memory limit.

In order to change this, you need to contact your web host.
