I'm running version 0.9.0.12 and I've made a few modifications to the Linkblog, the main page with some of my own menu options, the header contents plus moving sections up and down...
If I upgrade, do you think i'll lose these changes or are these mostly 'skin'-based? Is it that as long as I can reselect my skin, i should be oK?

Upgrading from .9.0.12 to .9.1 shouldn't be a problem as long as your changes are ONLY in your skin folder. If you've made changes to anything in (for example) the b2evocore folder or the admin folder, or sometimes if you've got stuff in your hacks.php file then you might run into some problems. I've been watching 1.6 so much that I can't really recall the issues people found when doing the upgrade to .9.1, but it's well worth the effort in terms of how nice it'll treat your server.
So yeah: this upgrade should be pretty straightforward for you.
