Split Full Archive Directory List on multiple pages

I like displaying my archive directory with no limit but it is getting awfully long.

Is it possible to split the list in half and have a "next page" link for the rest of the list?

Is it also possible to list my full archive directory with titles only but group the titles similar to this:

Archive Directory

October '05
* Title 1
* Title 2

November '05
* Title 3
* Title 4

However is there a way to list all of the blog entries but show only 20 per page?

There's not one coded (to the best of my knowledge) although anything's possible.
