I installed B2E last week and have had no trouble until today. I went to the login page, entered info and it would simply refresh.
I tried "forgot password". I never received an email.

What can I do to fix this?

Which version are you using?

Did it say that it has sent an email when you did the "forgot password" action?

Looks to be version 0.9.2. Does that make sense? If not where can I find the verison#?

I got the "email sent" message but have not received anything.

0.9.2 "makes sense".

I've found a bug in version 1.8 recently, that causes the same behaviour, but it should not be present in 1.x.

About the password email: it always says "sent", even if you give a bad username (so bots cannot guess usernames). Maybe you have given a wrong one?

Blueyed. I am thinking I might want to rip B2E out and reinstall.

Not sure about the email address, I could have typed it in wrong.
Do I have any other easy options?

It was a canonical problem with the site URL.

the config file did not have "www." in the $baseurl= line.

Yes, edit the evo_users database by hand - but if you do not get any "Wrong login" error message, that won't help really.

Try deleting your cookies (related to your domain) and/or try another browser (which would not have the cookies).
