I'm not on step 3, I'm stuck on step 1. Where it says: "IMPORTANT: all these domains should display the default b2evolution collection without any redirection. You should still see the URL you typed in at the top of your browser when seeing the content. If, for example, calling http://www.anotherdomain.com/ redirects you to http://www.maindomain.com/, then it’s not good. Your configuration is wrong." I decided to scrap what I was doing and start fresh, so I created a new blog for testing. The subdomain I entered is http://testblog.dubird.net. It is going to my public_html folder, no redirect, just that's the folder it's set to. When I type in testblog.dubird.net, it pulls up the main blog, but changes the address in the address bar back to dubird.net. That's the problem I'm having. I suspect that unless I get that fixed, using b2evo on a subdomain won't work, which is really frustrating!

@dubird I may be tired tonight but I can't think of a good reason for the paragraph you just quoted to still be in the manual with the current version of b2evolution.
Please ignore that paragraph and let us know what happens if you follow through.

Ok, so ignoring that paragraph and following the rest of the instructions, I can now get it to work. Had to refresh my cache a couple of times, but finally got it to show what it's supposed to. Thank you! I can finally have the subdomains controlled from one location!
Hi @dubiousd,
You should stick to the sub-domain option and make sure that it points to the front page of your site.
The URL change is actually a redirection, which is normal if you haven't already reached the step 3 of the manual page: http://b2evolution.net/man/multiple-domains. It's just on that step when you tell b2evolution what to do with the new URL (the sub-domain) instead of automatically redirect it to the main domain.
