Hi everybody,

I have seen this question before in this forum (since 2007) but not a solution for it.

This is a very important topic for those who work with feeds:

Please, anyone could give some help on how to add the author name to RSS feed in such a manner that it could be possible later to extract it with rss2html through the field value ~~~Itemauthor~~~

Best regards,

José Ignacio López

Hello @jignaciols,

The author of the post is in the XML file, just look for the <dc:creator> tag on each item. I have seen rss2html automatically detects that field (not tested yet). Check this content in the code:

// Revision 2.2  2005/08/16 19:53:15  housley
// Add the ~~~ItemAuthor~~~ subsitution that uses first <author> and then
// <dc:creator> for its contents

Is this good enough for you?

Regards!

Hello mgsolipa,

Thank you very much for your answer. Certainly it looks like if it were a problem in the rss2html.php script.

More information can be read at:

http://www.feedforall.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5390&highlight=dc+creator&sid=78356429d4bc24768e05dc1cd65af689

Taking into account that I have paid for the scripts at feed for all I have contacted the support service of feed for all for a solution to this problem.

I will tell here if they give me an appropriate solution to this problem,

Best!
