Did you check the web server error logs? I'm fighting a problem right now with Gallery and IE6, and the way I discovered it was a Gallery issue was by digging into my Apache error log.
What plugins do you have enabled? When I have Gallery enabled, my IE6 users can't access my blogs, but when I disable it, they can. If you recently enabled any plugins, I'd also look at disabling them and trying again.
I figured it out finally by removing all of my added in content until it worked. It was two java script codes for a couple tracking widgets. I had to move them to the very end of my code and it finally seems to be working again.

Hope that helps.
