and you may need to modify your linkblog widget's title as well in your sidebar

I've made those changes but "Linkblog" still shows.

you really need to change your "Block title" in your linkblog widget settings, are you sure you have changed that ?

Blog settings > Widgets > sidebar

click to modify the linkblog widget and change the "Block title:"

I don't have Widgets in v. 1.10.2.

I think for 1.10.* all you have to do is (diligently) search the forums for tips and tricks. It's been out for quite a while. In fact, it's pretty much old at this point is the thing. That's why searching diligently is required: all the newer stuff is about 2.* so you gotta kinda dig down to find info about 1.10.* stuff.

Sorry but most of us who do the answering here are using something in the 2.* generation. And we almost always say "you should upgrade" but I'm trying to avoid saying that just to be different ;)
