In What is b2evolution? under 3. For Advanced Bloggers, One feature listed is

"Open/closed/disabled/protected comments"

In the BackOffice, when creating a "New Post", one can select a radio button for Comments to be "Open", "Closed" or "Disabled". There is not a selection for "Protected". I checked in conf/_admin.php (where one selects the initial status of a Post) and didn't see anything additional for Comments.

Does the "protected" feature refer to the anti-spam feature or an (possibly future) ability to moderate Comments (that is, send a new comment to some sort of moderator's queue for approval before publishing it). Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

That was a mistake on the site. Sorry. This feature is not yet implemented.

Hope to make it available soon.

Fran?ois,

I'll need this for the special blog I'm making for the CEO of our company.
Can you tell me in what direction you will/have implemented it, so, I can start tweaking my own copy, without doing to mutch wring in the database.
Is it an extra field in the comments-table ?

Any news on this? I was very glad to see your comment listed below. Moderating comments would be a great solution. Maybe you could also implement the Wordpress feature that before a comment will be displayed, the user must have one previously approved comment.

(...) The only solution, I think is to moderate comments. Maybe we'll make comments moderrated by default on future b2evo versions, so spammers will know there will be only a very small percentage of sites that, if spammed, will actually display the spam publicly (i-e without prior moderation)...
