So ... I forget exactly - you either have to create the folder you want the installation in, or it creates it for you. Either way, do you have a bunch of folders and files in the path you told fantastico? If you left the path blank then it should have installed it in your root directory, so do you have a folder named htsrv there?
Also fantastico asked you for a name and password, then after the last step gave you a link to your blog. Did you follow the link and get a 'page not found'?
