In a blog's advanced permissions do User permissions override that blogs Group permissions, or do that blogs group permissions limit the user permissions?

How do the blog's group permissions(tab) relate to the group set up under the "User" link?

Can a blog's User permissions(Tab) in a blog be more extensive than those permissions allowed by the group that was set up under the "User" link?

If the global permissions are changed under the general "User" link, will all the global permissions change in all the indivdual blogs global permissions(Tab)?

Do the blog's group permissions override the group permissions set up under the "User" link ?

Maybe a table similar showing blog user permissions, blog group permissions, and the group permissions setup under "Users" would be helpful, since this question seem to come about often in various forms.
