My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

hey,

i've saved my blogger posts and comments as both xml. and txt. documents and uploaded them both to b2evoution via filezilla but, but Daniel's Movable Type Importer only recognises the txt. file and then on the next step tells me that 'The file [blogger.txt] does not seem to be a MT exported file' - probably cos it's not in the 'b2evolution base directory', as it so helpfully points out

any idea?????
