IIRC to have a photo index you need to have "attached" the images to a post ( not included them in post content ) and you need to be using the photoblog skin ( or a derivative )

For your preview problems you need to check your blog url settings .... can't remember what does it but I had a similar problem on my own blog.

Oh damn. I thought the photo index was a clever thing that extrapolated IMG SRCs from posts... My techknowledge is sometimes more fantasy than reality 8|

Preview seems to be working properly again. I don't know that i did anything, but it works.
