you gotta tell exactly what you wanna do here or give hypothetical examples like :

I have a pets blog, i write posts under different topics such as "cats" , "dogs", and they divide within themselves as "cat food" , " dog food", and i make posts under them, but i want this to appear here but not there etc etc

I actually just figured this problem out - I was trying to use pages instead of categories. Now that I'm using categories "like separate pages" it works great. The page function is just more limited than what I had imagined...
