Hi men and uber-men (gurus) :)

I've added my blog to technorati (by inserting in _main.php a short string calling a javascript). Now, I need some infos:

a) What are tags? I mean, I saw them in several blogs at the end of the post. Do they let technorati search engine find this specific post using tags? I'm not so clever, I know.

b) I read also on technorati website that if my blog uses feed, it will consider them as tags. But I tried to search my contents by insert category's name, and it didn't find out anything.

Someone who could clarify me this thing?

Thank you - as usual - in advance,

Francesco

Technorati tags are like categories or labels for your posts. If you wrote an entry about the space shuttle you might use tags like NASA and shuttle and astronaut, etc. So then when someone does a search for NASA they'll find your post. You get to pick the tags that you use, and after using them for a while you'll get a feel for the common tags which apply to your writing.

There are a couple of ways to employ Technorati tags with b2e, they can be found here and here. I don't have any experience with either of them (I had the same question and found them with the forum search), so you'll have to do some reading to figure out which will work best for you. If you have any questions about those methods, post them in the appropriate thread.

Feeds are a method for others to read your posts without visiting your page. Their computer will grab your feed automatically, so that they don't have to visit every blog they want to read. The two main flavors are RSS and ATOM, and b2e supports both of them right out of the box.
