@zealgeeks yes of course. You just need to provide the appropriate host value on the install configuration, or change its value in the file _basic_config.php for already installed sites.

The deafult value of this parameter is localhost, but it could be an IP address, hostname, domain or whatever that points from the web server to the MySQL server.
